Air Quality Testing
We can undertake air monitoring following asbestos removal under fully controlled conditions. Once the building has passed this monitoring, you will be able to re-occupy the property. It will also allow us to give staff and members of the general public permission to re-occupy the surrounding area. All of our staff who carry out these procedures have certifications relating to asbestos removal. They follow strict codes of practice, using the theory that sets standards for airborne fiber counting techniques. Victoria Asbestos Removal is accredited with providing its customers with reliable air sampling techniques that you know you can trust.
Background Air Test
Background air testing is generally undertaken before activity of any sort is conducted on the property. If work were to go ahead without background testing, you might inadvertently cause the release of harmful asbestos fibres in that area. With testing provided by our company, we will be able to provide you with an extremely accurate measure of the number of fibres that exist on your site and their relative risk to your health. We are often asked to implement background air monitoring to establish airborne asbestos fibre concentrations before and during the activities of our customers. As such, we work hard to cause a minimum amount of disruption as is possible.
Leak Air Test
Leak air testing is a form of test that is generally carried out when we have decided that the removal of asbestos from a particular site is the most appropriate course of action. This test is undertaken to ascertain whether the control measures in place are sufficient to prevent the spread of asbestos fibres outside of the contaminated site during the removal process. This allows out clients to be confident that the enclosure through which we extract the asbestos is retaining the fibre and preventing its spread. We can draw on a wealth of experience when completing this type of test.
Reassurance Air Monitoring
We conduct reassurance air monitoring to ascertain levels of asbestos fibre concentrations upon the completion of the removal work. It can also be undertaken following the removal of non-licensed materials that contain asbestos such as cement products and vinyl floor tiles. We can also deliver this type of test following the disturbance of materials that are suspected to contain asbestos. We will carry out this type of test and then discuss the implications with our clients, irrespective of whether they are positive or negative.
4 Stage Clearance Testing
Clearance testing is part of a 4-stage assessment of your site for re-occupation. We do this to determine whether your site can be re-occupied after the removal of asbestos. Following a preliminary check, we complete a thorough visual inspection. After this, your site will undergo clearance air testing before a final assessment. We ensure that every test is completed in this order to guarantee your safety and that of our staff. These tests are completed under fully controlled conditions and allow us to issue you with a certificate of reoccupation.
